Community Update on Temporary Building Closure

Gravelbourg, SK | September 1st, 2026

Gravelbourg Bon Ami, Inc. would like to provide an update to our community regarding the temporary closure of our building at 405 1st Avenue E. Gravelbourg

During an environmental assessment, mould was discovered in the building. Once this was identified, we took the necessary steps to temporarily close the building while further assessment took place.

We understand that this situation has been concerning and disruptive for our staff, volunteers, SARCAN and the community. We want everyone to know that we are taking this seriously and doing everything we can to move forward as quickly as possible.

Our Day Program did not miss a beat. As soon as we were notified of the environmental concerns, we immediately moved our Day Program to the Parish Hall. The program has continued operating there since, ensuring our participants receive programming, support and connection.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the Parish Hall for welcoming us and allowing us to use their space during this time. Their support has allowed our Day Program to continue without interruption, and we are very grateful for their generosity and willingness to help our community.

Our planned garage sale was postponed due to the concerns identified in our building. We know that many of you were looking forward to it, and we are excited to get back into our building and host the garage sale as soon as we are able.

We are working with qualified professionals and SARCAN to determine the necessary work and the safest, quickest path towards reopening. Our goal is to get our services and operations back in place as soon as it is safe to do so.

We truly appreciate the patience, understanding and support our community has shown us. Our priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, participants, volunteers and community.

2026 - Around the World at the Day Program
