Group Home Kitchen Renovation - February 2022
Step inside the transformed spaces of Bon Ami as we reflect on the remarkable renovations that have taken place over the past few years. From cozy communal areas to personalized living spaces, each renovation has been a labor of love focused on enhancing the quality of life for our participants.
In 2021, the heart of our group home, the kitchen, underwent a remarkable transformation. The project began with much-needed repairs and modernization efforts. Old cupboards made way for new ones, countertops were replaced, and a fresh coat of paint revitalized the room, adding a touch of beauty to its functionality. The kitchen's makeover not only upgraded its appearance, but also created a more welcoming and contemporary space for participants and support workers alike. It's incredible how these changes have truly made a difference in the kitchens atmosphere and usability.
Group Home Bathroom - August 2022
Stepping into the renewed bathrooms at the group home feels like a breath of fresh air. The focal point of the renovation was the bathtub, which was replaced to offer a more relaxing bathing experience. Everything in the bathrooms was updated, from fixtures to flooring, creating a fresh and modern look.
A user friendly walk-in tub was added, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all residents. This thoughtful addition not only enhances safety but also promotes independence and relaxation. The revamped bathrooms now serve as a tranquil oasis where our Group Home participants can unwind and rejuvenate in style!

New Flooring and Paint Throughout the Group Home
Over the past few years, we have been hard working to get the painting and flooring replaced throughout the group home. In 2022, the carpet throughout the entire house was painted. In June, the participants rooms were each painted a color of their choosing, and in October 2024, the rest of the house was painted! Look at the fresh paint on those walls! It breathes new life into the home of our participants.
The living room and staff room got a makeover as well -- That wallpaper changes the whole feeling of the room. Huge thank you to Jackie & Farrah for all of their hard work on the wallpaper in the office and living room!
Our goal with painting the home was just that -- To make it feel more like a home, and represent each individual who lives here. Participants are able to show their personality through their choice of color for their walls in their rooms.
New Ramp & Deck at the Group Home!
The Group Home's new ramp and deck are a testament to both safety and aesthetics at Bon Ami. The original ramp, dating back to the group home's original construction in 1989, no longer met modern building standards. The recent upgrade to a beautiful and code-friendly ramp not only enhances our home's exterior, but also ensures accessibility for all. The new addition meets safety regulations but also adds a touch of elegance to our home's entrance. Residents and visitors can now enjoy a seamless transition into the home, appreciating both the functionality and visual appeal of the new ramp and deck.
